Klavs81 has been working to fill the flight deck off your typical Crete-type Light Escort Carrier. His first fighter was the Rapier, followed by the Ferret. He uses a lot of metallic grays on his ships and has highlighted both designs in a royal Confed blue. One of the later pictures below shows his idea of Rapiers packed into their berths with folded wings. You can check out a small fly-by movie here.

Stylistically this reminds me of Star Control III - "hyper-realistic" and lots of grays.

Contrast to the cartoonish use of colour in SC2 and WC2.

I wonder what palette Klavs81 has in mind for the Kilrathi plastisteel...

Putting the ships side by side is cool. I especially like the last one.

Shouldn't the Rapier's canopy have the metal dividers that are visible in the games?

Looks really good to me. The Ferret's Cockpit seems a little oversized however.

A-may-zing. I just love when talents take ideals in a new direction. I really like it. I especially like the details on that flight deck of yours.

    yes

hey, those are the most amazing-looking wc fighters I've seen to date. I would love to see you remake all the fighter from the first three games (or at least the first two) and see somebody use them in mod. Very good work, I'm impressed

Gotta agree with everyone above, this looks fantastic! The coloring looks very realistic compared to anything else seen on wc1-2 ships before! THe modelling is awsome also, and the textureing is outstanding. Great work! (would love to modell the mapped details onto your modells :D )

Oh, hey! How'd this stuff get posted here? Cool, anyway, you guys are the ones who really know what I'm doing anyway.

I just wanted to recapture the feelings from the old games (WC1 and WC2) in a more realistic light. I actually read End Run and Fleet Action before I ever saw a Ferret or a Sabre, I just got my copy of the Kilrathi Saga, and I love it!

Working on a Sabre, but it's close to finals, so you might have to wait a little bit. (Who am I kidding, I'm gonna be modeling right up untill I have my finals anyway! I mean, really, who studies for a quantum physics exam. C'mon!) :)

After the sabre, the Tarawa gets built around her hangar deck, then comes some Kilrathi fighters and then the Palace on Vukar Tag. Don't even say a word... ;)

Thanks for the support and the love, I'll post more when it gets made!
