Wing Commander CIC

I just installed both WC1 and WC2 on my new Windows 7 64-bit laptop. WC1 works fine without any additional work; however, I can't seem to figure out how to run WC2 without the colors going all wonky.

Is there a patch or a known fix to get it to work?
