If the Kilrathi War was over?

If the Kilrathi War ended in 2669 then why did the TCS Midway have fight some cats in her shake down cruise in 2681. Can someone explain that.Were they Pirates or Part of an Imperium?

According to the Midway's onboard newsletter, 'Waypoint!', these were Kilrathi pirates, renegades who were preying on shipping and executed by the Kilrathi themselves after the survivors were handed over for trial.

It's kinda like how we don't lay criminal charges on all of Northern Ireland's population for the actions of the PIRA.

The war officialy is over , but there are lots of clans that disagree with this..

Well , I think that as of 2681 there are few Kilrathi that are opposing the Confederation , but as I said there are always Renegades

Ah, okay, I know what you mean -- although how you could read the ICIS article (titled 'Pirates Executed at Valgard') and not know that it was about pirates is sort of a mystery.

(Also -- IIRC, that occured in 2680, *not* 2681...)

Unless he's considering pirates to be legitimate representatives of government policy... though even in Privateer, you weren't.

The ones preying in the Valgard system which were fought by the Midway's squadrons, then executed by Confed.

Actually, it was Confed that executed the Valgard pirates. The Kilrathi protested the executions, saying that the pirates should have been turned over to their own people for execution by traditional means.
