Highest kill rating in privateer 2 : ice man?

I thought that specialist was the highest then I hit 2100 kills and ice man came up, is there a higher rating?

Ice Man is the second highest rating -- the highest is 'Privateer'.

When does that come about, 2500?

The rating is a combination of three things -- number of kills, net worth and point in the main plot. To make 'Privateer' you need 3,000 kills, 150,000 credits (total value of ship + upgrades + cash on hand) and to have passed the Hugo Carmiachael missions.
