Okay, that was about the lamest line in history, but...
Okay, the Hakagas from WC:FA had the following armaments...
32 Quad-Barreled Mass Drivers
16 Neutron
16 Lasers...
Good gun arrangement might I add.
I'm wondering though if William Forstchen knows the difference between an AMG and a Neutron Gun...
He refers to a scene in WC:ER where the Intrepid engages the Kilrathi Destroyer, and mentions it's neutron guns being fired... (around page 270 something)...
Uh, neither WC2 Destroyer, or WC2 Cruiser, Kilrathi or Confederation, and the Exeter by the way, have Neutron Guns...
The Gilgamesh, and the Fralthra however, do possess Anti-Matter guns...
The anti-matter gun bolts look like neutron-blasts at least in WC2...
I wonder if William Forstchen confused the difference...
Not to mention it would make some sense with the Neutron-Guns on the Hakaga...
They could be AMG's!
16 AMG's is a bit much, but the Hakaga is nearly twice the size of the Concordia, and the Concordia has 8 AMG's, and 16 is just twice that. The Hakaga is also much wider than the Concordia. Much more room to work with.
The Hakaga also has over twice the Confederation Class's (TCS-Concordia WC2) fighter compliment.
32 Quad-Mass Drivers
16 AMG's
and 16 Lasers
sure makes a hell of a lot more sense than neutron guns considering it's a large capital ship.
Capships don't usually carry neutron guns... I've never seen a capital ship carry a neutron gun either. The WC2 ones at least. Even the WC3 and WC4 ones either.
-Concordia
