Origin's composer of classic (WC3-Prophecy) music, George Oldizey, has released his first solo CD! The genre for the album is latin jazz, and it sounds very warm, fun, happy, and maybe even a little bit familiar to Wing Commander fans. What an appropriate name for a band created by a former WC music composer. As you probably know, Gato 6 means Cat 6 in Spanish. Also the first song of the album is called Eye of the Cat, the second is called Cat Get it!, and the eight is called Cat's Claw. I can close my eyes and hear this music in the background of Shotglass' Bar
Yeah, I immediately got a Wing Commander (TCS Victory) bar nostalgic feeling the moment I heard it. I'm assuming there's a more personal connection between George and the term 'cat/gato', but all of the references were amusing to me nonetheless. It's just a really nice lift-the-mood collection.
