fatal error starting standoff

Hi,

I have a german WCP with the english Secret Ops installed. Somehow I got german texts in SOps thogh. I installed Standoff wanted to start and i got a fatal error

LanguageManager::loadSection: no section <(null)> found for
language <german> in file <pilots\freyers>

Does anybody know how to solve this?

My guess would be you installed both WCP and SO in the same folder ? You should install them in different folders.

Uninstall both WCP and SO, clean reinstall them both and then reinstall Standoff.

Standoff is made to work over the English version of SO only.
 
WCP does not play into the equation. Secret Ops is completely independent of WCP. Neither needs the other to be installed and if you actually did install them into the same directory you are calling for trouble.
I am not sure wethere German Secret Ops will work with Standoff. It DID work at a time, but that was when the engine wasn't hacked to the insane degree it is now. I guess it should still work as the differences are only in the graphics and sound files IIRC.
 
Installed it now in a different directory and it works fine.
