Various places are reporting about the EA filing that estimates about 117 people will take severance packages in the Origin move from Austin to Redwood Shores. GameSpot estimates that some 400 EA employees have been "laid off" in this manner in the last year by EA closing satellite studios and relocating everyone to primary development centers. However the company has maintained that it will be increasing the size of its workforce over the next year. The Motley Fool site went into much more depth on the matter and even quoted us a tiny bit.
