This is my second Kilrathi conceptual design, the Geklag. I know, it's very similar to the Transport from Wc3, it's the inspiration for this.

Even if it's very simple, I somehow like that ship. :)

I'd suggest detailing the struts that connect, and make them smaller in diameter; they are almost the same diameter as the hull parts, IMO they need a bit more distintion, and add some sort of superstructure. Even the WC3 transport had a bridge sort-of-thing. Overall, it needs more greebling.

And cut down the armament. Right now it's armed like a destroyern not a freighter. Put away the fighter and neutron turrets(Neitrons are out of date in 2669, very few ships carry them there, most of them old types; as for the fighters, that ship is a dedicated transport so it carrying fighters would defeat the point, don't you think? Those fighters need not only room to park them, they need some sort of launche bay, spare part, fuel tanks. That would severely limit the cargo space of the freighter)

I'd suggest giving it 4-5 laser turrets.

Thanks for your advice. It is kinda hard to notice, but I do have a launch bay on the transport. Here it is up close. I tried to give it that added-at-the-last-minute look combined with the Kilrathi penchant for weird looking designs. The door is supposed to open and let the fighters fly straight out. The runway is just big enough to land a light fighter on. The back section with the windows is suppoed to be the bridge, too.

Too many turrets for a transport. Ditch the fighters and landing bay, not everything needs to have a fighter wing. Form follows function.

Agreed, 4 laser turrets and no fighters, that's how transports are.
IMHO the smaller section would look better if it conected to the struts not on its end, but on the middle of the section, i.e.:
Code:
  |\
  | \ |\
  | | | |
 /| |___| |
|_| |___| |
  | | |_|
  | |
  |__|

And a bridger tower would look good, right opposed to the struts
But other than that, it looks good :)

i actually think it looks too much like the wc3 transport. there's nothing wrong with your design, but be unique and try something new.

maybe add another arm on the other side and down a bit, that would look a bit better, or that'll make it look like a modified wc3 transport.

Like all the other people, I also think it is a good start, and keeping design-schedules from WC3 is actually a good idea. Like already said, skip the fighters, and don't make more than 4 laser-turrets.

About the arm, move it to the other side (so it is similar, but not to equal to the wc3-transport), and make the arm not on the same horizontal-line than the main- body, but move it to a lower area (max. the diameter of the arm, not too much).

Give it some hullstructures and a visible bridge and you have Large- Transport.

yeah this ship doesn't really look like a transport. Add cargo containers or some kind of area which looks like it would be a cargo bay

It was supposed to be a superheavy transport that could carry a few fighters to keep of light attacks from Confed fighters, plus a significant turret arrangement. The arm and most of the middle section is the cargo bay.

Ok, i've revamped the model with a new design and a few new textures. I think this model is much better:

Your first one looks better than the second. I'd lose that additional "arm". Or if you must have it, maybe reduce its length to half? Meh, it's true. I really am bad at this.

THE FLYING PITCHFORK OF DOOM!!! rhehehehe,
well, I think you should move the arms to a position closer to the middle of the ship, make them assimetrical and NOT ptu them on the same plane.
