Wing Commander CIC

This game is a dream come true, but i get the same error whenever i try to run standoff or unknown enemy. Secret Ops works fine and i changed the compatability to win98 (i have xp)..but i always get the same error. the screen goes balck and the it give me a fatal error and says "GL_3d3_5::createZBuffer attach failed 87". How do i get this to run?!!?
