Behind The Scenes: Making The WCM Universe Map (April 21, 2004)

Everybody remembers the intro to the WC movie. It begins with beautiful views of a great looking universe map with pictures of ships and Kilrathi fading in and out. Well, somebody had to create that.. and LeHah found out who! The Lightning Studios site features a video showing the map as it was being made, along with video of the final product as seen in the movie. After it was used for the film, the map was hung in the lobby of Digital Anvil. You can video this making-of video here. The CIC has mirrored the file here as well.

This is very good news.. hehehehe when i first time watched the movie i was wondering, how they managed to do such awesome starmap.... it's just great.

The only thing that is left - find somewhere at least 1024x768 *.jpg file of this map, would be very cool, defenetly it will be my wallpaper

I remember the opening map scene gave me nostalgic chills. Too bad the rest of the movie was shit.

Ya, you are right... the movie was kind of crap, i was expecting something tramendeous, but.. well i was disapointed... anyway, the intro was awesome and btw the music also heheheh
