Ai/Weaponspeed balancing ideas

Hi
i noticed some minor balancing problems when playing this great remake
1) AI problem
As soon as you severely demage a Talon fighter it often starts flying in close unpredictable circles at a quite high speed which makes it impossible to
hit it with weapons as the bolts move extremly slow. (i tried medium and easy difficulty)

2)Weaponspeed problem (PLEASE fix it :) )
Shots from most (advanced) weapons move extremly slow. It is nearly impossible to hit a Talon which is not doing a frontal atack, or hitting a talon which is not atacking you but your escort target.
True in the original privateer the weapons are not that fast either but as far as i remember the talons didnt use any afterburners and had much weaker armor.
Besides i think that they were a bit larger and didnt do the aforementioned circle-flying to such an extent.

3)Overall atacking talons isn't that much fun but a quite tedious job.

Thank you very much for reading it completly :)

1) isn't so much of a problem, but by design...which version do you have? I definitely dumbed down the AI on easy for the 1.0 prerelease...but if you downloaded 0.9 then yes it's quite tough. Talons also have an xtra 10 hull points in .9 which were by mistake added

2) We took these numbers from the game... I think the talons don't use afterburners on the easy setting but I can double check
3) ya we think it's better in the pre-release

Dogfighting

It would be great if you could make the dogfighting an experience as in
wing commander 3. On the medium difficulty level it was the best dogfighting experience i ever had :) ( i wasnt good enough for the higher ones though).
I know that programming an AI is not an easy job to do but Wc3 would be a great aim at which you could measure your sucess.
And did i mention gun-bolts werent that slow either in Wc3 ? :)

I thought wc3 did that looping thing when they were damanged...

what's different...do you have any idea...the AI is quite cusotmizable--but we did use the original privateer as a model
