Toronto Ontario Canada just had a 5.5 earthquake. Quake centered along the Ontario/Quebec boarder.

Shaking lasted about 20 to 30 seconds. Some people reporting aftershocks.

Reports coming in that it was felt as far away as places like: Sudbury, Ohio, New York...

5.5 isn't all that strong, but for our part of N.America its a rare event. We rarely get a 4.0 once per ten years, so having a 5.5 is quite the event

Well... It's hard to suggest that Toronto had a 5.5 when the quake was centered nearly 400 kilometers away... (closer to Ottawa really, but in Quebec). But yes, I imagine you still felt it quite a bit, especially if you were in a taller building.

I’ve heard that granite is good at absorbing the energy of an earthquake and since New Hampshire’s nickname is "The Granite State” I assume they have a lot of it there.
