Good to know - thanks all. Seems like the consensus here and for 3DO in general is not to play interlaced, but I'll try a few different things with it and see what I prefer. Leaning towards not now. I have both games (SWC and III) and the Flightstick Pro in; now I just need the 3DO itself. =oP

While SNES is definitely a cool version given that it exists, after seeing the SegaCD version on All Wings Considered with full voice acting (and different voice acting than the Super Wing Commander game) and completely different music, I think it's my choice over this one.

Thanks for the info. I've decided to pick up the games while they're available (that way I don't have to feel guilty if I do use ROMs), and we'll see if a Flightstick Pro for 3DO becomes available. That seems to be the hardest thing to find, so whether I want to invest in the console itself...
