Don't punish them for trying to do something fun for us.

XBox Live Gold on Sale for $30 (September 15, 2010)

Fantastic. This is the cheapest year of Live Gold I've paid for yet. I have a couple more years queued up from $35 cards I bought on Amazon. That's $2.78 a month for the next three years. I'll be sure to point that out to anyone who complains that Live is so expensive.

I don't remember feeling all that sweaty, but I'm glad it's been recorded for posterity, at least.

Why is the Space-Sim genre still dead?

Actually, I think you just proved his point.

    Starcraft 2 Released (July 27, 2010)

What you're seeing is something wrong. StarCraft II's realtime cutscenes are pretty impressive. Back in my day you always had to force it through drivers. Well there's your problem.

    Starcraft 2 Released (July 27, 2010)

When you say "rendered cut scenes" what do you actually mean? The pre-rendered movies that occasionally appear, or the realtime scenes with Raynor and his buddies? In either case, they look great, but you have to have your settings correct. StarCraft defaulted to "low" for the pre-rendered...

Did you like the Wing Commander movie?

Not necessarily. You're still making the mistake of believing you can determine what's "realistic" when we're speculating about a distant future unrelated to our present day.

    Starcraft 2 Released (July 27, 2010)

I think it's safe to assume that Blizzard isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so worries over savegame availability are probably a non-issue in the near term. As for whether everyone has an adequate connection, well, if you have a computer that can actually run StarCraft II playably, the...

Did you like the Wing Commander movie?

Two simple points The "gravity" issue has never made sense to me. It's not explained why the fighters dip and fall upon leaving the edge of the flight deck, so why does everyone insist that it has to be some kind of physics goof? If I were in the committee outlining the requirements for the...

    Starcraft 2 Released (July 27, 2010)

My iMac can barely handle this game. 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, and a fairly inadequate Radeon HD2600 256MB. It's probably not a good idea to upgrade to a new computer solely for the one game I don't play on my 360, but it's tempting. Even with the settings low, it still looks pretty good at...

It was a waste of your time to have done this thing, CT25, and a waste of ours to have shown it to us. You should feel ashamed for your mistake.

This is an indelicate thread that could cause a lot of ugly yelling and crying, so I'm going to keep my personal opinion to myself and reply very simply... I believe you're mistaken, and that it indicates a lack of a sense of identity and self-confidence among New Yorkers, without really...

    Moonbase Alpha

So it's only perhaps NASA's primary objective, according to Charles Bolden. I'm not opposed to the idea of NASA producing a video game, but I think it should be a good one. The reason America's Army was a good idea is because it was a badass game. In terms of building the Army brand it worked...
