I have played WC1 thousands of times and I have never come across the name dragon in any of the text from cutscenes. However it could be the pilot who is doing a runner from gratha when you do badly in the first sector of WC1.

Thanks. Can anyone tell me if I can get the game to detect MS Force Feedback (Windows Joystick), as it doesnt - and cant find any drivers allowing it for DOS operation.

Doesnt WC:A use the WC3 engine? I remember reading a review of it many years ago. Anyway I just bought it and it uses a sprite engine, but better then WC2. Can anyone please clarify my situation, did they make to types of the game?

Ive got a problem with the music in WC1 of the Kilrathi saga where part of the music loops over and over. Its the music what plays when you got a *good kill*. But there are 2 versions of it. The one which is right, and dont loop, and the other - when i know its going to loop, but its the same...

I got the SNES version for WC too. It was damn annoying when fighting one of the Kilrathi bosses (Cant remember his name, praobably Mr. Starkiller). When he flew away you could never catch him and always did a quick attack run, not even giving u time to give him damage.

Quite simple for removing the ground missions. Basically the PSX cant cope with all the polygons on the screen, and would result in dramatic slow down. I had a P90 with 16MB Ram and it choked along on the planet missions, when dogfighting etc. BTW... Ive just ordered WC:PG, WC:Armada, and...

There are programs which slow down your computer to make games, such as Wing Commander to slow down to a respectable playing speed. I cant remember any names, so just search the net, shouldnt be too hard to find.

Mine was back in ~1992-93~. I had an Amiga 500 with a lovely 1Meg Ram installed. I was in a game shop, ready to purchase my FIRST GAME for it! There it was sat high above in a shelf. WING COMMANDER. I picked it up, and drooling over the cover, it was love at first sight! I played it all...

So what stuff do you get extra with the WCP Gold compared to the original WCP? Apart from the extra mission, of course.

So how many missions are there in total?

First 5 missions of just secret ops, or the normal game part?

So the Secret Ops what I downloaded is an illegal copy right?

Doesnt matter now, found a copy of the original game and have also found the Secret Ops to download

Where abouts do you live, im in Manchester and couldnt find a single copy of even the original.

Well the problem is I cant find a copy in the UK, as apparently Origin/EA have withdrawn it. Ive looked on the website but only found one place where I can get the gold edition (which is what I want), and its too expensive for my liking. Please can anyone tell me where I can get a copy hassle...
