    SCP version of FRED 2

That is all true, though its guesswork. Almost everything to do with this situation is guesswork, so saying the shuttles are all prepped at all times is a likely situation and saying that they are prepped only during battlestations probably isn't a bad guess either. I'm sure there are people...

    SCP version of FRED 2

Well, I would say it imparts quite a bit on the discussion, since the original point addressed was the "configurable up to 620m" which was explained to be an effort to keep this description of the Caernaven intact and keep the WC3 frigate statistics. If we aren't talking about the same ship...

    TCS Cimino - Where?

I guess that opens the floodgates for alot of novel class assignments. I always assumed that both the corresponding WC3 ships were identified as the Tally and the Bhantkara in FC because we knew that the author specifically meant that assignment. I also believed that was the case for the...

    TCS Cimino - Where?

This is good stuff I skimmed over the ships list this morning and I had a few questions off the top of my head. I'm assuming the CCG has pictures of the ships so we know the Bordrav and the Trak'hmar are both the same kindof escort destroyer (I didn't see this card in the pictures in the CIC...

    SCP version of FRED 2

That is true, but there are quite a few unknowns associated with them (two of which you bring up). We have no idea how long they are, we have no idea how massive they are, and we have no idea how much the carrier conversion addeed to either of these numbers. I guess I should have phrased that...

    SCP version of FRED 2

Well for one, we aren't crippling the Venture (at least in the patrol version, which the original Venture has the most in common). It has slightly weaker armor than it should and it lost its forward laser cannons, but it has stronger shields and the ingame ability to actually kill any capship...

    SCP version of FRED 2

We do have alot of 'WC3', thats why I like having the Venture and a few WC2 vessels around to "stir the pot" a bit. Given fan projects want to finish in a reasonable amount of time though (hehehe, how many of those deadlines have come and gone guys? :)), it seems that more "face time" is given...

    SCP version of FRED 2

To give a sense of continuity, of familiarity. We've been told in novels that all the hardware we saw in WC3 is seriously old. This is a nice discontinuity considering we'd never seen these ships before and had just been running around in Confeds "newest" hardware in WC2 and Armada. We wanted...

    SCP version of FRED 2

Corvette Yes, the corvette has been upgraded beyond that of the WC1 corvette. No, the upgrade in shields or armor is not a reasonable ratio to the original Venture, but who says it has to be? From the write-up, the Venture is pretty much a totally different ship, the overall frame just...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

Its not that all non-zero possibilities are equally valid, it’s that all non-zero possibilities are still viable possibilities. Its so much more likely that the Austerlitz is a Concordia-class, but because it’s a 6% chance (from LOAF’s ‘low’ 6 CDN number, not really an accurate way of looking...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

Hmm, I guess I dreamed it. I went back to the passage I thought it resided (when Bear sees the Vukar Tag battle group - before he hops the Sabre to go to the meeting - and goes on about the Concordia's damage), but no mention of it. For some reason, I specifically remember the phrase "repeated...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

Yeah, I always thought that this statement and the retconning of Bear's statement of irreparable damage caused by each firing of the PTC in End Run did a good job of killing it as a "usable weapon" (though I'd like to go back to the mission with the Fralthra and get an idea of how many times the...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

I’ll give into that one. Psych can pick up the argument if he chooses, its his reasoning. The "exerpt" is hilarious. I also can’t argue too much with that. There is something important about the “late 2665” reference. The problem is we can surmise its implications but, in universe, we...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

I didn't enter it as "proof", none of what I went into is "proof". They are points to consider to counter the assumption that the Confederation was retired along with the PTC. This one just happens to be psych's. I don't think we can "prove" that the Confederation was retired with the PTC...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

Actually, apparently he wanted a Confederation DN to still be in service for some other reason, which raises a decent point of its own. I've never been entirely convinced that the Confederation's were no longer built after 2665. Here's a few points (in addition to psych's issue) that rattle...

Enterprise - In A Mirror, Darkly

Enterprise has definitely evolved into a wonderful Star Trek series. Took TNG ~ 3 seasons to finally get things rolling well, but took Enterprise ~ 4. Its really too bad we won't get to see what they could have done with it given a full run. Quick search yielded an Uhura pic in Mirror...

    Claw Marks in Adobe format?

I'd guess because you only see a single Bengal throughout WC1 and its addons, whereas a few individual ships of the other classes show up :). You'll notice quite a few little things like that scattered throughout the manual. The Rapier II in the WC section is also missing its laser cannons, so...

    New Fan Fiction Different time

I'd wager that our friend got his 85 number from the "out-of-universe" Wing Commander Bible, which lists the Victory as a Strike Carrier and carrying 85 fighters. C-ya

    Sheffield's Shipyard

Nice, the ship looks like it has some mass to it. I think its the small windows, the WC3 texture had such large ones. My one knock is that the hanger entrance is a little small. The original is almost as large as the aft section it occupies. Very cool, though. C-ya
