    Yup. No worries there Q, the civvie missiles are definately inferior to the Military ones. Damage wise and speed/maneuvering wise they're not at all comparable to their military equivalents. And yup. All the stats are the same as in the original games. Well, where they can be. A ship turning...

    i should note that, aside from the jump fuel difference (and only the tarsus has the little boost to it) the tarsus's stats are identical to those in privateer. its not some super ship, its just got a little extra jump fuel to better facilitate the 'scout' of 'merchant scout' and thats it...

    i've taught myself. started in 97. i've had a fair bit of tips and pointers tossed my way by some friends, but overall self taught all the way. i did take a maya course, but that was a year or so ago and i dont even use maya anymore. its a lot of trial and error. also, i use LightWave 8.3.

    thats about...32 meg or so...games now are getting into the gig range. but, you shouldnt be having low memory problems.

    alrighty, a bit later than expected, but here is where the Longbow stands right now. wings engines, turret and some touchups are all thats left.

    and heres a nice render of the arrow with the other two ships. so far the arrow is at 694 tri's with not much left to do.
