What is the best ship in P2

It's just that we'd hate to see your crazysexycool Keen graphic swapped out for a bucket and mop.

    Don't push it, panty.

    What do we really want?

...which brings us to the next question: Do we want it to have the WC3-ish Han Solo feel to it like in P1, or the eccentric British everything-is-corrupted sense of P2?

    WCP and mines

When I'm flying the Shrike or Devastator (the 2 ships w/ mines), and I'm trying to shake a pesky fighter from my tail, I like to juke while dropping mines. It keeps the fighter busy, and sometimes their shots hit the mines. I never found them _that_ effective, though.

    WCP: Soppy ending

Well, if Keen Commander ever gets in trouble, he can always count on... (da-da-dum!) NUKE DUKEM!!!

Happiest day of my life (WC1)

I seem to remember seeing MoSlo over half a decade ago, when it was originally designed to slow down first-gen pentiums and high-level 486's; maybe nobody's made any significant developments in the program because not many people want to run a 1 Ghz machine at 25 Mhz. :) Except us, that is...;)

    Oops! Sorry, forgot about that.

Happiest day of my life (WC1)

I would, but the slowest thing I've been able to find is something like a Pentium 100, which is just over the WC1 too-fast barrier. Oh well, maybe I'll check eBay... :)

Happiest day of my life (WC1)

I've tried MoSlo for my ancient WC1 disks (and CD from a "Mile High Club" game pack--don't ask), but although it slows down the 'Origin FX' bit to a watchable level, all of the rest of the game is still moving at light speed. I've got a (relatively) old 366 Mhz computer w/ 64 megs of RAM, so...

    Engines: Fighters vs. Bombers...

If you could you'd have people who were new to the game going, "ooh, I wonder what 'turn off scoops: S button' does?" and then they smack into the side of the Claw or Midway or whatever, and lose interest in the game, and don't buy any more. Besides, you've got basic stuff like limitations of...

    WCP: Soppy ending

Maybe it's just me, but I never thought that any of the WC females were *that* attractive. That newscaster that LOAF likes did the little news clips in WC3, right?

    Privateer 1: Last mission

Cool, where can I get it? I only ever got to the 2nd alternate age you go to (where it looks like there's been nuclear winter), and it's been forever since I last played it, so I'm sorry but I can't remember any door in the mountains. Still, I haven't even seen the game for rent in Blockbuster...

    WCP: Soppy ending

I'd ask where LOAF gets all these photos of her, but I'd be afraid of the answer. Next thing you know he'll start posting pictures of fish again...oh crap, now I've said it...

    Privateer 1: Last mission

Anyone here every played the rarest (and best) game for SNES ever? It's called Crono Trigger, made by the same people who did SoM and Final Fantasy (Squaresoft), and it totally kicks. This game is so good you can't even find it on eBay. :) A few months ago I saw a TV commercial for a PSX...

What bomber was the most powerful in the WC universe

This is like that conversation in WC1 between Maniac and Paladin (or was it Bossman?)! :)

What bomber was the most powerful in the WC universe

I recently rediscovered my ancient WC2 Deluxe CD, and I've gotta say that no matter what you say about the Broadsword (although it is really fun to shred Sarthas by the dozen!), the bombing missions always seemed really cinematic for me. Once you take out the escorts (a 'Titanic' job in...

    A Test of Poll Technology

Come on, Napoleon, let it go. Nobody here's serious about the country-bashing (or at least I hope not...).
