    Old Reliable... aka Thunderbolt

The same happens with a particular WCIV cutscene: when you land on the Intrepid during the battle with the Vesuvius, you see a Vindicator landing/taking off. Well, that's not reflected in the gameplay, but it indicates that a much larger engagement was going on. It would be irrational for the...

    Shield Piercing torpedoes

I think this is the case with the Phase Shields on WC2. Not sure about the movie.

    ANOTHER Movie inconsistancy.

Well, the intro of WCIV shows the confed senate on TV. The interesting bit is that Blair alternates between using Admiral and Space Marshal. And, according to this interesting poll, the reason is "Deep psychological subtext".

Making the Game: Mission B3a/b (March 10, 2009)

    Did he really get Stilleto?

    ANOTHER Movie inconsistancy.

Blair even returns fire by calling Tolwyn an admiral right after the latter is promoted to Space Marhsal. Cleary he was thinking of that time on the bridge of the Concordia.

Does anybody take the movie seriously?

This answers a question I made in another thread... I read this one later. It's very nice of him.

    Worst Voice Acting

BTW, I remember this little program that allowed us to make custom taunts on WCSO. I used it. Very amusing.

    Ask Chris Roberts

I’d ask if he would want to make another WC game, if he had the opportunity.

    Arena For the PC?

On the bright side, at least Bioshock and Mass Effect were released to the PC. The gaming market is quite unpredictable, but I think PC gaming will be around for a while, even if as a shadow of its former glory.

    Corvette blues

If you were not on a strike mission and there was no other capitatl ships to target, the ideal way to take out a corvette was the Thunderbolt. Just use a torpedo. Fast, easy, unproblematic.

    Whatever happened to Knight?

There's a "Mr Knight" who gets blown up on the movie, but I'm not sure it's the same guy. Anyway, he could've ejected.

    Old Reliable... aka Thunderbolt

The Arrow is fun to fly, but in the 'real' world the heavy protection provided by the Thunderbolt would be preferable.

    Sartha Admiration

Rear turrets were a real pain in WC2. I have the distinct impression that shots you got in the front of your ship from the rear turrets of Kilrathi fighters had a tendency of knocking out the targeting computer, which in turn would make certain missions unwinnable.

    Wing Commander: 20th Anniversary Proposals

Unless they were remade to play in at least 720p high definition. OK, it's a dream...

    Sartha Admiration

The problem is on the last mission and there's no wingman to draw fire, so they concentrate on you.

    Sartha Admiration

On the last mission of WC2 they are arguably harder than Thrakkath.

The Hardest thing you had to do in Wing Commander??

Not playing new WC games for yeras?

    The WC Icon

I voted for the Rapier II, but I must agree with the Dralthi thing.

The ship designed with even less concern about the survival of the pilot than the Dralthi Mk 2 or the TIE Interceptor.
