Yah i know, i have it. I was talking about the "unofficial" sc3, the one with the petition. Paul Riche And Fred Ford(if i remember correctly) were the creators of original sc, so i considerd their (never started) version of sc3, just didn't want to clog this thread with useless info...

I completely agree :) Still i consider the sc2 one of the best games i ever played, with amazing story and background. Even today i am amazed by the original concept and some story details... '92 was a good year for games :) Supposedly, "toys for bob" was planning to make a SC3, but don't know...

This might sound wrong coming from me but: what the hell is your problem?! That is, to say the least, most ungrateful behavior i have ever seen. People have done what they were able to, with their personal resources, and you have the audacity to whine about it not done completely professionally...

I really liked some story cutscenes One of my favorite's when Blair meets Dekker for the first time, while he and the marines are sleeping :) Also some scenes with hawk in wc4/wcp. And bunch of in game moments, but none come to my mind in particular atm...

^ couldn't agree more. What pissed me of in WC1 is when your wingman gets damaged a lot and than they start constantly sending you their "help me" message, and that makes you unable to see target info in the middle of the fight.

Indeed. Don't take it the wrong way. Discussion (that you named a flame war) had virtually nothing to do with your topic, it could have happened anywhere. That said i would really be sorry if that discouraged you from making new models, posting new topics, or contributing anyway to WC and/or...

This whole discussion made me wonder: What exactly does make a canon/reliable source of information about wc?

That's pretty awesome. One thing i always disliked in original WC is that lack of ship manifest. Guess it has with my sickening urge for realism :)
