No idea as in terms of lore. However, what you say about Feudal Japan and keeping family members etc hostage, this would make sense to me putting this on to the Kilrathi Clans. If a ship, manned (kittied?) with a clan fail a particular mission. Then all of them could be killed quite quickly...

A reboot of the franchise is what I'm hoping for. Confed was at it's best when dealing with Kilrah's worst. Pre Tiger's Claw, perhaps Custer's Carnival. That had some good fic.

If I was a suit at EA I'd be stupid not to get the ball running for a new Wing Commander game. It may be wishful thinking, but with the crowd funding success of SC they must at least be doing some sort of preliminary work on it.

On my first attempt I lost Manic to the Jalthi, but ended up dying myself later on. On several tries later Manic took out the first destroyer, then got himself killed going after the defending fighters. Unfortunately the Snakier also escaped.

It's already in the .conf, as part of the GOG installation. I thought that just fixed the 2nd mission from crashing.

It might also have something to do with the bespoke software that it also activates on pressing the CapsLock key. Part of the gubbins that gets put on as part of a LapTop build.

I found out that enabling Caps Lock seems to cause this particular issue.

@FredDude32 I was able to restore the file, a quick virus check and nothing was found in the install file. Just need to figure out how to configure it to run Armada now.

Anyone had any issues with their anti virus picking up on the cgaclient? I have Norton, which is probably just removing the file because it is not well know.

Another pro tip, your guns will recharge slower if your shields are also recharging. That's why you can fire a Hornet's guns without running out of gun energy, until you start taking shield damage.
