a lot of cat ships are pretty symmetrical. Some just look stupid. Like the Khorlar!!!! uggghhh then some look pretty cool cause they are assymetrical. Like the bloodfang and the darket.

I would think that pirates get their reputations because they earn them. The most badass guy is usually the one leading the gang. Also, I would imagine (especially with the Kilrathi) that they would add a special tag to their ID signals. People who think they have skills definitely like...
