ATI Catalyst 12.2: The majority of the crashes seem to be caused by the ATI Catalyst driver, where your driver version is 12.2. Make sure you update to the newest Catalyst 12.3 driver.

If it is not too much hassle, please fill a ticket in our bug tracker, so that we can run possible solutions by you. We can't reproduce the issue as of now.

Here is a temporary work around for all of you, who have sound issues. It appears as if the launcher does not save sound config correctly on a fraction of systems. While we are working on an update, please give this "hack" a try:

Yes, that is the only anti virus that will complain about the exe. We have submitted our executable to ESET, but it might take them ages to update their signature files. Some of the FSO executsables, most notably FS2Net, will produce the same warning.
