The Bulrathi rocked. On MOO3 they were shunned for beign too "cartoonish" in favor of new races like this. I think the original Bulrathi may have been inspired in the Kilrathi by name, while the Mrrshan were inspired in appearance.

The game is fun, I've beaten it with 3 different ships and unlocked a coupe more. On easy mode, all right.

That's a good question. I still have my copy, but I can't think of a reason where I would ever isntall it again, not after DOSBox. Wing Commander 1 has a strange soundtrack bug where, if the last Kilrathi you kill on a navpoint is fleeing, the soundbit will go on loop in a quite annoying way...

The temblor bomb seems morally indistinct from the Behemoth, and I think the games plays the morality in a interesting way. More than the execution of Angel for Blair personally, Confed has and the fact that “the Kilrathi will be walking on Earth on six months, maybe less”. The story leaves...

Well, the vague connection with WC IV convinced me to back this project. And also I liked the idea.

One could argue that the very notion of Space Nazis is a WCIV reference on itself.

The Black Lance would fly a recon patrol, that would keep the Mopoks in line.

The difference is that Hobbe’s true personality was pro-Kilrathi, and the overlay was pro-Terran, and it would be the other way around with Cobra if she had received an overlay. Not sure on how that would work, since the programmed personality would have to be activated instead of the true one.

Oh yeah, the Mopoks. Lets not forget the Mantu and the Double Helix.
