The tarsus is somewhat useless when it comes to fighting other ships. I wouldn't use it to destory anything larger than a talon, and even those can be a handful. The best solution for destroying bigger ships is to buy a better ship (like the demon or centurion), and then it becomes a lot easier.

Put a load of turrets on it like a proper capital ship and then you're screwed - unless you can shoot of the turrets easily. That was one of my favourite tricks in WC3.

I think perry is supposed to be pretty damn bug so there's probably loads of docking bays that can't be seen from far away.
