The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

If we up the options too far for the sake of completeness, this is going to get way out of hand. I'd rather have five of the most popular ships, fighter or otherwise, polled rather than spreading votes around a bunch of ships. Having done this before, I can virtually guarantee that many folks...

The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

Reading through the thread: Vampire Concordia (I assume this means Confederation-Class, based on the next request) Waterloo Dralthi Mk. I Excalibur Tiger's Claw What else do we need to throw in this poll?

We were all younger in 1998!

The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

We aren't going to get a serious run of ships in a significant scale. It's just cost prohibitive. There might be an alternative if we do tiny fighters- once you get the cost of rubber down things can get reasonable.

The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

Let's start a poll on what ship we want. I have an idea of the cost of the master, but the casters I know are all pretty backed up right now. Once I can start firming up prices, we can start to nail down the potential price.

    Forstchen's Latest (August 13, 1998)

I'm sorry for topping a 9 year old post, but this was the only post I could find on this series. I picked up each of the three books in this series from Amazon for a penny each. I would have spent even two pennies on them! They're engaging quick reads, and the first two (Star Voyager...

    Smoothing the edges...

My personal feeling on "smoothing the edges" is simple... In my world, the WC movie exists as its own separate canon. It just makes it simpler for me to reconcile and enjoy both. I would never, however, shoot down (or attempt to) the explanations that make both work together. Bottom line...

Loaf, I dropped you a PM about this.

The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

I'll get the ball rolling and get some real costs. Subject will make a difference. Do we want to go with this Vamp, or something else? Should we create a poll?

The Vampire Strikes Back (May 4, 2007)

Folks, There's no doubt, if we scraped together the cash, we could commission Mr. Wong to create a master for us and find a caster to make these in resin. Having done such a venture in the past, however, I refuse to front my own cash, as people who commit without a cash advance tend to drop...

    Side-Scroll of Legend (April 24, 2007)

Having now played for longer than I care to admit... My non-fanboy feedback: -The star density/animation is starting to make me dizzy. I like the depth, but the starfield seems a bit too dense. Any plans for a static underlay, like a nebula? If you made the color of the player ship...

    Side-Scroll of Legend (April 24, 2007)

Wow, good call. Raptor was pretty much the ultimate for these games. Of course, that might be a good move for a Privateer version ;)

    Bad review: Star Trek Legacy

Torpedoes in the WC universe do exactly what the weapons in Generations were able to do: match the frequency of the shields and bypass them. However, look at their launch times. I generally find that comparing different sci-fi series only ends in genitalia measuring contests, unfortunately...

This absolutely rocks. I loved these games in the past, and I already dig this thing. Keep up the fantastic work!

The WC4 'Price Of Freedom' Movie Project

How will your branch choices be made? I watched the WCIII movie quite some time ago, but I can't recall if you followed the novel or not.

Make New Friends, But Keep The Old (March 3, 2007)

The antennae take away from the sense of scale for me- it looks like a much smaller ship.

BREAKING NEWS: ESRB Announces Rating for 'Wing Commander Arena' (February 21, 2007)

2D environment? This reeks of being a reskin or reuse of an existing game engine. I play anything with Wing Commander in the title, however, so I'll be suckered in, but paint me cautious. I think our best hope for this is that it tests the waters for the green light on a completely new title...
