Scimitar - your Viper cannons have a huge punch and can take down turrets in a hurry. Epee - You're really hard to hit, and switch to Stormfire. You now outrange them, and hit like a truck. Dumbfires help, but aren't necessary.

It is not a complete beta. Multiplayer support was never coded, so it's lacking. The menu items flash-appear, then aren't there. It does have a full single-player game, however, and is pretty darn good.
