    Hey Spritiplumber, would it be feasible, as a quick and easy plot source, to use some of the WC novels or even the original games for navy missions in WCU. We could copy them completely, scatter them around naval bases with fixers, as prerequisites for obtaining naval craft.

    I'm also getting seg faults with setup, under a fresh install of Fedora Core 3. had no trouble with .9b also tried this patch at: http://www.crius.net/zone/showthread.php?t=16906 but with no success.

    I would just like to point out that not only will the WC server be at legal risk here, but also our beloved sourceforge (and its mirrors), as that is where the actual game files are.

    yeah, but think about trying to shoot a rock the size of a mountain... would your guns really have any effect? Asteroid fields are great fun right now in the remake, but there's just no risk at all, even in a slow ship like the tarsus. It should be suicidal to enter a field in a slow...

    I like this idea... capship bounties, but only thru the merc guild, as it would take a certified pro to attack a capship. I'm missing the fun of going after capships... it's a part of the gameplay that shouldn't be forgotten.

    IIRC, asteriod collisions in the original were much more damaging? I remember that one asteriod would drop shields, and the next kill armor and probaly the ship (if flying thru with afterburners...). Asteriods were so dangerous and hard to avoid, at least for me, that running away on...

    I've noticed that it is always at the same price, 4995, if there is no damage, and it allows me to purchase it anyway. To make it more clear, you could rename it from 'basic repair' to 'complete' or 'total' repair. There's a way to see if ECM is on? How exactly?

    Problem in 1.0 pre!

    Wendy reported this problem as well. I have it every time in .9b linux. If you reload and try to use the tractor, it will work, but it doesn't draw the beam on screen. So it is the amazing invisible tractor. But after a fresh game start, the tractor beam will appear.

    but, there is a difference between SQUADRON and FLIGHTGROUP. squadrons are unit designations for a group of air/space craft. Like a regiment for the army. but a flightgroup is just a group of air/space craft together for that particular sortie. So there shouldn't be any issue in using...

    hey guys, sounds like great work on the repair system. I like Scavaneger's ideas, slower repair time in combat, faster otherwise. but I think 5 minutes per system is too long. Also, for the price difference, if it was that long there would really be no point in not just waiting for enough...
