Yup..the game is Zero Wing, 1989 side-scrolling space shooter. The 'zig' is kinda fun to fly. Unfortunately I don't have the intro in the ROM file.

I am the XWA WCTC mod. ;-) We just finished the Jalkehi, which accounts for all Kilrathi WC1 and WC2 fighters except for the Bloodfang and Strakha. No Starpost or K'tithrak Mang, or Sabre. Capships include Fralthi, Ralari (which you have), Fralthra, and WC Armada Shiraak/SWC Snakeir. Sabre...

Hey, if you had bothered to scroll past the picture, or these God-damned forums were actually put together straight, you'd see I blamed SWC for the confusion. No excuse for the mixed-up Kamekh and Fralthra pics in the WC CIC ships database, though.

I hate Origin sometimes. They me fooled all this time into thinking THIS was a Snakeir: I'm guessing this confusion is caused by the infamous SWC. Oh, and the ship database is really screwed up. Hint: Someone -else- got the Kamekh and Fralthra mixed up. :-) [Edited by dreddnott on...

The Gilgamesh and Exeter are totally out of whack - the Gilgamesh is only 47.9 meters shorter than the Exeter (360 vs. 312.1), approximately 1/6th of the length of the Exeter shorter, and you have the Gilgamesh at about 100 meters shorter. The 504 meter Waterloo shows up the same length as the...

This is why I'm giving the XWA WCTC a more equal stance than any of the WC games (besides Armada probably). I don't like the idea of two Hornets being able to wipe out a group of Gratha, Krants, and a Ralari destroyer...let alone 5 Jalthi and 3 Fralthi cruisers!

Good AI is very possible. The designers of Unreal Tournament opted for making smarter bots rather than "superhuman" ones that are stronger or do more damage than you (Quake III). Of course after a lot of practice you can defeat even Godlike bots...but they are damn smart.

If only I knew...? Is it better that I don't? :-) Crossbow will be ready for texturing very soon, the same with the Bloodfang Mk. 1. Oh, you typoed the headline, the Snakeir is FAR from finished, not even started...that carrier is the Shiraak from WC Armada.

You have keen eyes, Mr. Loaf. To tell the truth, I got them confused in WC2 because the Fralthra actually looks smaller than the Ralatha in-game! Such silliness does not pervade in the world of 3D, however, and the Fralthra is quite large at 612 meters which is a little longer than the Bulk...

WC2 had an excellent storyline and great cinematics but the missions were not all that hot. Also the way you jumped from series to series was a lot worse than in WC1. I kinda like taking on Hhriss in a Scimitar anyways.
