    Progress Update

I belive that an emergency repair kit makes perfect sense . It should be completely consumed in use , and the damaged system would still need to be replaced at the first chance . I'm thinking in automobile terms of using panty hose as a serpentine belt , or a tire patch and duct tape to...

    Progress Update

I don't think you need to have "walkable" bases for the demo . However as Howard has said before , it is a great way to add to the "Being there" feel . Which the Pioneer team has pointed at as thier goal . Being able to walk around the various bases as well as seeing more than just the...

I like the scramasaxe . It was a good weapon , and would be a great name for hard hitting little fighter that's not extermly fast . The knife/axe has a nice feel , and gave the Saxons thier name . just my two cents .

You got five minutes !? "Just shovel and chew on the way to the trash point!!!!" Never even got a chance to sit down . If I had a nickle for ever time I heard a DI say that , well I could buy a soda .

I prefer the orange . Hence I suggest you use the purple . It would explain why it's not seen in later editions . The purple does give a low-light dangerous feel , like a submarine or tank on an attack run .

    SG-1: The Alliance cancelled

Being I'm to cheap to get cable . My first thought when reading "gorram" was a typo of goram . A fermented fish sauce from the Roman Empire .

The Ion Cannon coming to an orbit near you!

Spertallica , GOP.COM says 15 billion over 10years , edworkforce.house.gov (Democratic Staff) says 12-60 billion over the same time frame . Both however are refering to Pell Grants , don't know if that is any help to you (helped me a lot) . Sorry for the long delay , stupid job and family...

The Ion Cannon coming to an orbit near you!

A week after the article you quote , by changing the way student loans work , congress was able to increase grants by 12-60 billion over the same period . I like the concept of having a well educated and safe , free country . If the programs don't work kill them . However don't cut the...

Against All Odds - We need you!

Yes it was a overly simplistic view of things . What brought it to mind , was the underlying fact that for a group to have an enjoyable experience they need to share expectations of what that experience should be . Thank you for the invite . If my Wife's " honey do list " gives me...

Against All Odds - We need you!

I read an article in Dragon (TSR) Magazine , I'm thinking maybe summer of '85 , "There are two types of Gamers" . The jist of it was people "who game to have an excuse to socalize" , and "people who tolerate solcalizing to be able to game" . Enjoyment in the pass time can only be had if You...

Against All Odds - We need you!

Thank You very much ! I am sorry if my snide remark caused any offense , it was rude to be so flippant to people I was asking for help . (LOAF thanks for calling me on it .) It felt as though I was asking" how does an internal combustion engine work ?" , and being told " You put gas in...

Against All Odds - We need you!

So the PC (i.e. Player Character) writes "I send a wing of Broadswords at this Kilrathi carrier ". The Kilrathi player responds "I deploy my X-type fighters in a defensive screen " . PC responds "my Broadswords destroy your fighters and destroy your carrier " . I seem to be missing a step...

    Leaving tommorrow.

I just noticed him posting again . The welcome was back to the forum , not to the world of the blue jeans wearing slackers (i.e. non-"uniform of the day will be " folks) Mainly it was a request for an update on his progress an well being . Sorry for any confusion my choice of wording caused .
