Even though the administrators word is ultimate, I doubt that the Intrepid had enough room for quarantine left in her shape (some parts never got fixed in WC4...)
Good idea, but that would take too much real life time, as there are centuries between the WC's. I'd prefer that you could enlist in chronologic order, so you first do WC1, then be a privateer and must land on base X to advance to WC2, then land on base Y for WC3. (alternative: Have player...
Sounds interesting. But I don't know whether I can resist the temptation of just blowing up any capship except Hakaga awhole. They only take two torps, don't they?
Which means that Eder approved of more Stiletto mission! Yeah! :)
I just hope I won't lose all wingmen without replacement ships. I'm trying to be as perfect with my shiplist as possible, never allowed to lose ANY ships in prolouge till final mission.
Fleets like this don't nearly lag as much as Rikel's asteroids.
I had a similar experience in the old 0.9, where duping missions was still possible. I took a "lone Drayman" mission three times, and when I arrived at Rikel, there were like a hundred Drayman. There weren't any fighters, but...
The level 9 reactors/shields are probably previlege to capital ships (I saw a Drayman for sale in Oxford under Light Capship directly after Masterson ONCE, then no more, by the time I had the money for it.
Yes, there are some Confed ships, probably the only reason to keep me flying right now is...
Awww, half my ideas were disabled by hardcoding. Too bad, but I got two more things to try. Oh, and I read the fiction, but I guess I overflew the technical section too much. Congratulations to luminon for finding another anti-capship use for the Vipers.
And I'm convinced that the Standoff...
Whether it'S intended or not, the Scimitar's Viper Cannons pierce capship phase shields. Even though the damage is very low per shot, enough salvoes can down a capship segment. That makes up for nice challenges/tricks:
-Destroy the smuggler transport in the Prelude (a valid solution if...
Take'em head on. But try not to take too many, the Scim can't withstand getting pummeled by multiple pairs of lasers.
The trouble dealing with Salthi is not a shame, if they are running, they are almost impossible to catch, especially with a Scimitar.
Oh, and you are doing 2B? Too bad...
Hey, Gothri have the same turrets as Sabres, don't they? So, since I had no problem with Sabre turrets, why shall Gothri be trouble?
But, making the game harder than it is already is a thumbs down, as I really don't want a second UE.
