Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Yes, it did really feel like they were trying to make it seem like the original Battlestar Galactica did take place at first and I think the nods to the original series were a good idea. It showed that they weren't completely full of themselves with the reimagining and that they respect the...

    Ugliest Ship

To be fair to WC3 I thought the Arrow and the Excalibur both looked pretty good.

    Ugliest Ship

That was a problem I had with some of the movie's action scenes. I remember a few instances where the Kilrathi capships just sat in space waiting for torpedoes to smite them instead of letting all hell break loose with their turrets.

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

That's exactly what happened and it isn't pretty. To make matters worse Richard Hatch (Original Apollo) has signed on for a role in the series and the fans kind of feel like they're being stabbed in the back since the sole preserver of the orginal Battlestar Galactica has left them. I think he...

    Ugliest Ship

I had issues with the Kilrathi capital ships in the Wing Commander Movie. The Rapiers didn't bother me quite as much even though they're not really lookers themselves. The movie Bengal was dissapointing to me as well. I think they were going for the rounded submarine look and that's why it...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Probably the funniest thing about this new series is the constant and bloody flame wars over it that have been going on at the Sci-Fi.com bboards since the miniseries first came out.

    Standoff

I was really glad that the game didn't have the same difficulty level of Unknown Enemy, it felt more akin to the early WC games. No offense to any UE guys because I suppose my skills are to blame but the difficulty level was like pulling teeth or hacking off my own limbs at times.

    A new comer! Plebe

It's the spiritual sequel to StarLancer taking place several centuries in the future after the Western Alliance fled Earth to set up new colonies out in space to escape the war that you fought in during StarLancer. I liked Freelancer during the excellent story missions but I wish the story...

    Standoff

I only wish Standoff will get enough publicity outside of the Wing Commander community to cause EA to stop sitting on the property and make a new official game. And I hope they hire you guys to make it. I haven't felt like that playing a Wing Commander game since WCII and III

    Dos-Box WC3 Problem

Try VDMSound instead if you can't get it working right. I got got it running smooth as butter with that.

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I thought the guy playing Adama was pretty good, but he's the only person who's acting really stood out. He really has the cynical old commander roll down. Baltar was decent as well. Everyone else was generic and forgettable but I think with further character development and experience their...

    A new comer! Plebe

Wing Commander and Wing Commander 2 don't give you the interactive choices during the movies (which are cartoons since they're too old for actual video) but they still have the branching missions and how you perform in combat decides how the story unfolds. The Privateer games are a bit of a...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I thought the first episode of the Miniseries was rather terrible, but I really enjoyed the second episode when things finally started to heat up (combat wise, sexuality wise it cooled down thankfully. I thought I was watching a futuristic porno the first hour of the first episode). Anyway...

Opinions on Standoff Episode 1 (*spoiler warning*)

I've been on Wing Commander hiatus for a while, and man, you guys really put together something spectacular. If I was told this was a professionally made game that EA was going to release, I'd believe it. The attention to detail is really phenomenal, fan-friggin-tastic!

    New Metroid Game

It was just a passing comment I heard in a few developer interviews, not something I firmly believe. Though simulation games always bomb in Japan if they're not starring a certain giant robot with V-shaped antennae. A thought just occured to me, I was one of the people who had been crying...

    New Metroid Game

I'd say Metroid Fusion was the most linear game in the series. Metroid 2 at least allowed a little exploration, Fusion was all mission after mission. I'm not to fond of Metroid 2 even though it was a major step in game design leading into Super Metroid (I find the controls sticky, the fact...

    Halo video scenes

I've read that newer X-Box's DVD rom drives have problems reading parts of Halo 2 but that it runs with older ones fine.

    Episode III Trailer - 11/04/04

All I know is I've seen the Vader suit, heard James Earl Jone's voice, and I saw X-Wings (or what looked like X-Wings to me... it was a quick shot). I can die happy, finally a new StarWars movie that resembles the original trilogy.

    Blair, Maverick?

I liked that aspect for some reason, some of my favorite missions in Star Lancer is when the big ships are trading blows. I'm just a capship lover though I guess.

    Metroid Prime: Hunters

I'm most hyped up for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, personally. Being a Metroid fan since the NES, Metroid Prime was the holy grail of modern console games for me. Hunters looks great too but I won't have the money to fork over for a Nintendo DS.
