Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Especially after saying "He's a Cyon!" in the mini and abandoning the guy at Ragnar Anchorage. Even though it turned out that he was a Cylon... nobody on the Galactica would know that for sure now. I was wondering why no one was thinking, "Did we abandon an innocent person because of Baltar?"

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I was sitting there wondering exactly what Adama was thinking myself. I'm sure he's not without his suspicions though, he'll probably keep an eye on Baltar. The only excuse possible for Adama trusting him is the old idea that all geniuses are eccentric and act strangely.

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I heard that this was one of the weaker episodes of the season from an English friend who's seen the entire season already. Hatch's cameo isn't just a cameo as well, his character is going to be a recurring guest in in the future. I like that they're not worried about injecting space combat...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

The end of the mini series was fantastic. I especially loved the scene where Adama tells everyone about Earth. That was actually supposed to be a pretty dull scene that was going to be preachy and "Everything's going to be alright" in the style of the original series but Olmos decided to play...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Well... Stagate Atlantis had the good fortune of being a spinoff of a popular series and being put in the timeslot right after that series. And now it's blessed by God since it's sandwiched between two of Sci-Fi's biggest shows. I'm not a Stargate fan myself but I've heard a lot of SG-1 fans...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Battlestar Galactica ratings for the US showing of "33" and "Water" are in by the way, it recieved a 2.6 incase anyone was interested. Pretty good for a Sci-Fi show. It set ratings records for the month of January for Sci-Fi and the launch is second the second best in history for the Sci-Fi...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Yes, but it ended up just being kind of a, "Don't worry, we haven't forgetten this stuff existed..." nod. Kind of makes you want to see a flashback episode where they show the Cylon war fighting against the old school Cylons. Then again... probably not...

    Wing Commander Movie

I thought the movie was watchable, but I think it got what it deserved as far as critical acclaim goes.

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I wondered this too, but the general concesus is saying the Galactica is only being run by a skeleton crew so sleeping in shifts with the possibility of an all out attack wasn't possible. Even when a real life aircraft carrier is at its highest alert status everyone has to remain awake and...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

Hatch plays an anti-government terrorist or something to that extent. It looks pretty interesting and it finally looks like the new Apollo will have an episode where he actually does something interesting as well.

What would make it a great year for Wing Commander?

Well for me it was 2005 :) .

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

I thought both episodes did a good job. I could have done without the constant flashes to Baltar's house with Number 6 every so often in "33". I had a lot of problems with the first episode such as Adama taking so long (5 days!) to think of a relatively simple plan that he never uses anyway...

What would make it a great year for Wing Commander?

The first episode of Standoff has already made it a better year than usual for Wing Commaner in my opinion.

    Batting .500

Jazz was helping the Kilrathi but it seemed he only cared about you and maybe other Tiger's Claw pilots. I think his grudge was with the Tiger's Claw survivors and not with the Confederation. He seems to blame the Tiger's Claw for not being there as the reason for the destruction of Goddard...

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

The whole "nuclear missles" during the space battle at the end of part 1 (I think) felt exactly like a Wing Commander torpedo bombing to me since they were the only thing that really damaged the Galactica.

Opinions on Standoff Episode 1 (*spoiler warning*)

The Wingmen did seem a bit incompetent. If you don't toast everyone in a few minutes they don't hold their own for very long.

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

The series is starting in the US this Friday on Sci-Fi at 9 p.m. Eastern time. I don't see it getting cancelled anytime in the near future unless they really mess up. The Mini was the third most watched program on Sci-Fi channel and it's one of the very few times a show actually gained ratings...

    Ship Names, Political Ramifications

Chris Roberts is English isn't he? I doubt the names have political ramifications but it's an interesting way of looking at it. Besides, the Victory is also argueably the most famous vessel in the Wing Commander universe since it played a big part in ending the Kilrathi war. I wouldn't say...
