Good news :) I've tried out gulikoza's compiled version, and now WC3 runs at playable speed with perfect sound :D - Ok, only when shooting at enemies it stutters a bit. I used 20000 clyces, dynamic core.

I know, that it it's too late now, but have you tried out a newer DOSBox CVS version yet? With the latest one I can even run WC3 at playable speed, and someone with less than 1GHz managed to get Privateer playable. If you don't know how to compile it, you can get this one, which gulikoza...

You can use external tools to change your Joystick buttons. There is no way to change them ingame. :( I use this program: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA016823/ It's in Japanese, but there is also an Egnlish version available, which I've got.

the WC3 files are not that much different, only the exe, some additional config files, as well as the music file, which is the biggest part of it. - And yes, then the legal part comes up. That is why I always mention it, after someone links to that "patch".

Gret work :) I'll try out your wc3.bat + the fix for my WC3 KS as soon as I'm back at my uni-town (don't have my KS here in my hometown :( ) If this patch works for my PCs, too, there are real good chances that it'll work for nearly everyone, I'd say :D
