I can only tell you that they massively improved the CPU emulation etc. And CVS stands for: "Concurrent Versions System" (correct me plz, if I'm wrong there). Do you mean the turbo.exe or the game exe? If the turbo: you can change it when running via "turbo" menu and setting the number to something lower than 100%.

Well, it's truely not the hardware itself, but the drivers, cause I know plenty of WinXP systems that can run the game perfectly. So it has indirectly to do with Windows XP and indirectly with the hardware ;) :(

Yes, but now you can only download the main version without the episodes as far as I know. The only legal way to still get the full version is Prophecy Gold. - Or am I wrong there?

Hmm, that's strange. For me the DOS version and the Windows version have got the same speed - DOS-version with my K6-2 400Mhz (ext. cache disabled) and KS with my 3Ghz PC. Also when using DOSBox I get the same speed as well. So no idea what you are talking about? Cause you can't mean seriously...
