Well haven't Origin been one of the biggest fans of Intel? Or was it just ugly rumour that Origin-guys optimized their games specially for Intel's CPUs? Altough it doesn't matter too much now, because AMD's cpus do have even more power than Intel Pentiums... Haven't played SO much...

Well, seems like I partially solved the problem. The thing was, that I had to put prophecy.exe into Win95-compatibility mode before adjusting sound acceleration to none, so movies now play decently (but not yet perfectly). If there was no compatibility mode set, first movie clip immediately...

Hey! Has someone tried one of those "wrappers" that convert Glide commands to D3D? So theoretically I could get all the effects working on my GF2 with a glide wrapper.

IMO Origin has always had a pretty poor attitude what comes to their games. Always favoring some big "standards" - Who would imagined that Intel is not the greatest CPU-manufacturer anymore and only few has a Voodoo GFX board? Origin could have at least release a patch for Prophecy that...

Yeah, right... oh, f*ck! Repeat, AC'97 onboard sound, newest drivers for XP. Turn sound acceleration off = TOTAL LOCK-UP, reset the only solution. With any other acceleration level movies have strange frame-skipping effect. Just my luck. Oh well, I can always turn off whole god damn movie...

W2k-patch seems to do nothing and game totally locks up my machine in first movie clip when I turn sound acceleration off! Between basic-full acceleration seems to have no effect. Is this really so hard...

I think this is one XP Pro-thing again, but does anyone know what causes "leaping" in the game's movie sequences? Leaping spots are random and it really suddenly leaps video forward just like I'd hitted the >>-button of DVD remote control or something. This makes following the plot impossible...
