If you have any actual proof that I'm wrong please show it to me. Actually I was wrong on one point, the Border Worlds probably had organized forces prior to the Project's raids or Confed wouldn't have accused them of the raids. Also the fact that Confed was selling them ships prior to the...

My best guess is that they remained allied with Confed until Confed started accusing them of the Project's raids and then started organizing their own seperate forces as a percaution. After Confed attacked Tyr they realized that they couldn't count on Confed anymore so they severed the alliance.

I just want to point out one last thing, in response to Dundradal comparing the events of WVIV. It's a bit different then the Civil War. The UBW wasn't offically part of the Confederation. The UBW never signed the Articles of Confederation but they had allied themselves with the Confederation...

I understand that most of Confed didn't oppose Landreich having escort carriers and older ships. What I don't understand is why people think that Confed would oppose the UBW having a light carrier that is a modified version of a design that Confed apparently retired before the escort carriers...

He could be asking if it's a active UBW ship, because if it's not a UBW ship then there's no reason to declare war on the UBW in response to the attack. In False Colors a carrier converted by the Landreich ended up in Guild hands, so he might have wanted to make sure that Intrepid was still in...

He starts listing the forces under his command then says that the forces commanded by everyone at the briefing are on the list and if they're not he's taking them anyways. He also says that the local defense forces don't have to join the fleet at Sirus but that he would like them to, which...

I always thought that he was referring to the attack on the Lexington when he was talking about what would cause the senate to declare war, not the existence of the Intrepid. I thought that the local defense forces were outside of Confed's command and that was why Tolwyn couldn't order them...

    A few Wing Commander questions

Oh I always thought that had occured after they had left Earth, not before. Oh well.

    A few Wing Commander questions

Where does it say that they chose to leave?

He could have been part of the BW miltia from the beginning of his career.

    Privateer, unlikely solution!

Maybe most of the weapons in Privateer are older models.

I thought that the original Pilgrims were banished from Earth.

The whole probelm is that the writers added the scene without explaining how Intrepid went from being the UBW flagship to a Confed training carrier in less then 8 years. Also it seems like an improvised carrier like Intrepid would be more likely to have malfunctons, and a ship prone to...

They stated why they felt that Intrepid was returned to Confed, I pointed out that given that Confed had retired the Durango class 10 years earlier there was no reason for Confed to want it. No one has explained why Confed would want such an outdated ship. I suppose the UBW might have traded...

The probelm is that most of their claims have no evidence beyond the idea that there are a few Confed pilots on the ship, and the ship was repainted so it must be a Confed ship then. As for the Civil War issue you mentioned, if the South had been granted it's independence then they would...

1: We know from the end of the novel that Intrepid was still in UBW hands. 2: No one has come up with a reasonable explaination for why Confed would want Intrepid back when all of Intrepid's sister ships, including the ship that became the Intrepid, were retired and sold off a decade earlier...

Budget issiues and repair prices I could see as a reason for trying to sell it, but why would Confed want to buy it?

The game has multiple routes and multiple endings. The novel only has one route and one ending so it's route and ending would become the official one.

IIRC if the games and the novels clash aren't the novels supposed to be the final word? If that's true then Catscratch didn't defect because Blair thinks about how he's still on the Lex just before Blair self-destructs the torpedo he launched at the Lex. And the Delphi/Intrepid wasn't a loan...

1: IIRC either the game or the novel states that Speradon was a Confed base inside UBW territory. 2: What would the point of UBW becoming independent be if they're going to give Confed control of their military forces? 3: we know of 5, possibly 6, Intrepid crewmembers who rejoin Confed. We...
