why not? I could get my Xbox 360 gamepad to work. It's fairly decent, but only a joystick gives you full and precize control over your fighter.

I suggest to take a look at control options and setup your controller accordingly. Although, if you are playing with keyboard or mouse, it is not surprising. Saga is ment to be played with a joystick.

well, sometimes joystick isn't correctly recognized. To fix this quit the game. Disconnect your joystick. Connect it again to your usb port. Start the launcher and check if your joystick is selected. Fire up the game.

as said above: it is just my personal taste. You can set ambient factor to 85 or even 100. It is up to you. Far more important are other values - they control the look of the specular mapping.

There is a way, or rather a hack. It is done via scripting, but, since this feature is not in official build yet, I did not make it public. I could put up a package for download, but I can not guarantee how well it performs. It may even break gameflow. As I said, it is experimental.
