Yeah, autoslide becomes kind of precious when it comes to larger ships. There are four buttons for them to work with... A, B, L and R. You can technically say 8, since select could be used in combinations like in the SNES version. But even so, that's still a pretty limited control scheme...

I took a look at the new screenshots and noticed that the icon for the decoys was there. It made me think. What exactly is the control scheme for the game? I mean, the SNES version's controls were limited enough. What functions are and aren't available in game flight?

If it's anything like Prophecy, then the problem must be in the joystick. If it consistently works with the joystick unplugged, then that might the problem. Two solutions in that case: Play with the keyboard, or get a new joystick and see if it works then.

It never says in the games... so I guess the novels are the best place to go. I have no clue myself, having never read them.
