Service entry dates for Confed fighters

*digs (clicks) up SS* Hmm... yeah, you're right Loaf (as usual). The only reference is to the '69 variant (no start date). It definitely isn't clear if there were versions before it given the commentary from the author. We do know from SS, however, that the Arrow space frame dates back to...

Service entry dates for Confed fighters

I think the SS manual cleared up the start date for the Thunderbolt 7 as 2669 (maybe 2668). One idea suggested was that the Thunderbolt 7 was also used for SAR duties since it has a tractor beam (HF designiation having been used for SAR planes). Admittedly, it would seem the designation means...

    WC:CD "Fan Input"

Just some ideas and comments on your project here: First before asking for mission builders, you might want to present a clear picture of your mod's basic premise. A website would definitely go a long way to presenting and advertising your mod. I'm not really sure where your story is at or...

The Darkest Dawn is Cleared for Launch

Wow, just finished it and I must say that Saga is quite a ride. Though early on I missed the format of intermission cutscenes/stories (and a chance to breathe), the rapid jump from mission to mission really kept me immersed in the fight right up to the end. Possible spoiler...

    "Let's play" series

HOLY COW!!! 55 missions for a play through. Really?!? This is going to be beyond awesome.

    "Let's play" series

Wow, just awesome. I love the rec room area, really immersive. A little glimpse that we see shows the start of a great plot. Btw, will the game have mission branching or are there going to be 55 individual missions that vary based on on prior performance?

Catching Up With Saga - GamePlay Complete! (January 30, 2012)

From my few encounters (actually I avoided him on here afterwards), Psych definitely seemed like a troll and was certainly a jerk to put it kindly.

Catching Up With Saga - GamePlay Complete! (January 30, 2012)

Dang, those are some informative posts about the history of Saga/Standoff development, some of those things I hadn't really noticed before. Most intriguing actually.

Massive Monolith Gets Modular Makeover (January 17, 2012)

Interesting idea. So is this concept for a particular project? Privateer 2 era certainly doesn't get a lot of a attention.

Service entry dates for Confed fighters

Don't forget that all of the fighters we fly in WC3 must be fairly recently built, which says nothing of the age of the original design. These fighters have current tech shields, weapons, and corresponding power plants that allow them to attack capships and do some damage. Also, the fighters...

    Silhouettes and Generic WC Counters

Ouch, at first glance the aspect ratio for length to width on some of those is terrible. How can the thumbnail look so horrible, while the actual pictures look perfect. Just crazy. Anyway, these are definitely well done. I love the Plunkett btw. Very sharp image.

Upload of Thomas Bruckners WC Page

I've got some of these. Drafting up a list now. Edit: Here are the ones I have zip files for. I could have sworn I had a few of the others downloaded, but maybe they got lost over time. If there are some important ones you can't find, let me know and I'll take a look into my old backup discs...

    Secret Ops Ship Catalogue

In the "3d" representation of the Cerberus in the "center of the room" and in the upper left of that, you will find this little sphere thing. That is the easter egg.

    Secret Ops Ship Catalogue

One or both of those more bulbous alien buoys can be found on the Jammer mission in WCP. That Callisto sure looked like a gigantic Razor to me. My guess is that it was meant to be frigate or destroyer or perhaps merchant vessel. I can see where providing the Midway with some light escorts...

Realistic wishlist of features for a new WC game

No live action and a mini-RPG element to the in-between sequences (think a limited version of Mass Effect). It would be like WC3, just more of what they did using 3D models instead of Live Action footage.

    Silhouettes and Generic WC Counters

How about this view? Some time ago, I had make VDU images for fighters and capships that I converted for FC. The Plunkett turned out reasonably well, but the Murphy is a little too split up mesh-wise to get an image using the simple method I used. I can send you lightwave object files for most...

    Silhouettes and Generic WC Counters

You forgot the Murphy destroyers and Plunkett cruisers for the WCP/SO Confed. Looking great otherwise.

    Crew Sizes and the Exeter

Though this wouldn't have an impact on crew size, do you suppose that deck crews/pilots/gunners have to check the flight deck for junk periodically. I would guess not given I think this wasn't a requirement until jet engines and obviously these wouldn't work in space to begin with.

    Terran Confederation wars before Kilrathi?

As an aside, Terrans and Kilrathi had already had contact before this, but it was between fringe elements of both sides - pirates, privateers and the like. Publically, the Kilrathi were probably (near) completely unknown aside from some of the outer areas of Confed (ie current BW systems) and...
