    Star Trek: Judgement Rites

I had a similar problem with the game - itd always crash when choosing the optimum way to complete one of the missions. I suspect that Interplay used exceptionaly cheap disks for this one, I seem to recall that they had a tendancy to do that.

    SciFi and Reality

Firstly, theres a large difference between doing something with a few particles - quantum mechanics allows various laws to be broken momenterily, including the lightspeed barrier -and doing it with a starship. Secondly, all actual faster-than-light I am aware of is a sleight of hand...

    Buffer error

Go into the launcher and select directX 16 bit rather than 32bit. Also, you might want to try different driver versions, especially if you have an ATI video card.

    Fralthra WC2 Question

That would be because they radically changed the AMGs - rather than one big ship-killing bolt, its a fairly rapid firing heavy cannon. It'll still rip through fighters like nobodies business - in fact its more dangerous than the old version, because theres more of it to avoid, but it now takes a...

    Privateer: Ascii Sector

Look in dosbox.conf, in the first block you can set output to OpenGL. Might be worth a look for your next set of videos.

    Privateer: Ascii Sector

It just occured to me that DOSbox renders, or at least can render, with openGL. That should record easily in FRAPS or anything simila.

    Privateer: Ascii Sector

This is probably because these programs are intended to take videos of games, and all games these days render through DirectX or OpenGL, so the program looks at your video cards colour buffer and records that. But a DOS program dosen't touch that buffer. It may be worth looking through the...

    Battleaxe and Red?

That was Epic. The game is pretty poor overall, it places you in a starfighter so much more powerful than everything else that all tactics and strategy go out the window. Picture taking a Devastator or Vampire back to the pre-WC1 era. And its not true 3D, you cant loop your ship which is...
