Snug as a Bug in a Rug (June 13, 2020)

K...quick question because it might have a bearing on the answer: is the poll referring to the A-20 or the F3V? From context I'm assuming the A-20, but my mind went to the F3V first...which I certainly liked more than the other Border Worlds fighters in all honesty.

Does this wording mean that the Kilrathi pilot is still alive?

Hmm...the only real source I know of a physical description of kilra'hra off the top of my head comes from the opening scenes of Freedom Flight: Don't know if that's helpful at all to you; guessing it will be, though.

Does this wording mean that the Kilrathi pilot is still alive?

Something else for your fan fiction - the name "Haga Kaligara" itself is telling. No honorifics - not even nar. Probably unintentional, but it would suggest a kilra'hra pilot. Not common but not without precedent in WC canon (Najji Ragitagha comes to mind as the prime example there).

    [2020-02] Some novel character portraits

The story bit. Melek would look younger when he was Thrakhath's retainer, not just because four years have passed between the end of WC3 (when he's cheedyachee) and the next time we see him in WC4 (when he's the Chancellor), but also because those years would've likely been quite stressful, to...

    [2020-02] Some novel character portraits

Chancellor Melek (WC4 Melek) had probably been through eight-eights of hell in the four years between the two games. Having your society collapse will have a tendency to do that to any kil...

On the Voice Acting Talents of Mark Hamill (May 28, 2020)

Is it ever explicitly stated that Falcon (the pineapple dude) isn't human? It'd suck if I missed a species when I was putting WCRPG together... "Falcon, the Pineapple Dude". Sounds like a fanfic title.

Fear, Terrans, for I am B'harg ko Maksga'hra K'dyapa!!! (b'harg = red shirt (lit. "red armor"); maksga'hra = lit. "extra person"; k'dyapa = disposable / unimportant (lit. "not important") - ergo "Red Shirt the Disposable Extra".)

    [2020-02] Some novel character portraits

There's not an official one to my knowledge. I do have a rudimentary section on my lexicon page; that's about the best I can do there.

It's pronounced 'zeek', like the word 'seek' but with a 'z' sound in front instead of 's'. One of the farmhands in The Wizard of Oz has this name (the 1935 movie version anyway; don't know about the novels). It's a diminutive form of the name "Ezekiel".

Are you omitting a word or thought? If not, then neither form is grammatically correct. Best guess is that you'd forego a punctuation mark of any type there. What is the context of the statement?

Don't know if y'all have seen this or not; figured some of y'all might like to hear from Paladin his own self.

    It sure took long enough...

I am considering a laptop, thanks. Only issue I'd have with ordering from that particular site is that they specify in-store only and the closest store to where I am is the one in Dallas. I don't think I could justify a three hour drive to pick up a laptop especially given the Coorsflu... Does...

    It sure took long enough...

...but the missus has finally agreed to let us upgrade the home box (on account of the old one giving up the ghost a few months back and with the Heinekenphage raising the need for additional terminals in the house). Last time that happened my eldest child was still crawling. Ideally, I'd like...

    Stay safe, wingnuts

Lockdown here begins today and goes for the next 15 days. Groceries, exercise, medicine and that's about it. Fine right now is $700. Went to PTCs at my kids' school on Friday the 13th; found out a few days later that one of the parents in my elder son's class who had a PTC the night before...
