| From The CIC Referral Log |
When you are taken to a site by clicking a hyperlink, the server logs where you came from. If this is the results page of a search engine (i.e. Altavista, Google or Yahoo), the log entry shows what you searched for. (Referral logs do not contain any information regarding your identity, so don't worry, your dirty secrets are still safe!)
I recently went over our July 2001 log, and compiled this list of the most funny, twisted, or downright sick queries. The strangest thing about it is not that people look for these things, but that in the process, they somehow end up at the CIC.
Be warned that this list is presented unedited, and can be quite harsh and explicit. If you are under age or easily offended, I advise you to watch Chris Reid dance instead.
